Principles of Irrigation Design Workshop
One Day | 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Cost: $79 (198 Hunter Points)
Proper design is the first step to achieving a water-efficient landscape. When heads are stretched and laid out poorly, it sabotages the overall efficiency of the irrigation system. By attending the Principles of Irrigation Design workshop, you will learn to design, install, maintain and manage irrigation systems that greatly reduce the volume of irrigation water applied on each jobsite.
Topics Include:
- Site Evaluation
- Proper/Efficient Head Layout
- System Hydraulics
- Product Selection
- Drip Irrigation Design
- Water Budgeting
- Seasonal Scheduling
Not sure if you need to attend?
Try answering the following questions to gauge if this workshop is right for you:
- How many gallons per minute is required to apply 1.5 inches/hour on a 1,200 sq. ft. turf area?
- What design aid can be used to plot heads on drawings without using a ruler?
- How many spray heads can be operated at one time with a 1" meter?
- What is the correct way to size irrigation pipe?
- Can you lay out an irrigation project from a complex plan quickly and accurately without the use of special tools?
- Do you know how much sod to order for a landscape in the shape of an amoeba?
